ATHENS --The West Virginia Wesleyan women's tennis team rolled past host Concord here Monday afternoon on the first leg of their two day trip to southern border of the state.
The 9-0 victory was their first win of the season in three tries, and moved their MEC record to 1-2 overall.
The Lady Bobcats got two wins each from Paula Pimenta, Julia Uchoa, Kasumi Hayashi (pictured), Angie Pittinger, Sarah Cameron and Allene Connor without dropping more than four games in any match.
The Lady 'Cats continue their trip with a visit to nearby Bluefield, taking on Bluefield State and Bluefield College on Tuesday. The regional match against the Big Blues is set for 10:30 a.m., while the match with the DIII Rams will tip at 2:30p.m.
