Box Score BUCKHANNON – The West Virginia Wesleyan volleyball team faced the seventh-ranked Wheeling Jesuit Cardinals this morning on Homecoming Saturday in a Mountain East Conference clash at Rockefeller Center.
Wheeling Jesuit proved why they are one of the top teams in the nation as they defeated the Lady Bobcats in straight sets --- 25-8, 25-15 and 25-14.
Hannah King and Stacie Baumann led the Wesleyan attack with eight kills apiece.
Paulina Nottingham had 11 assists and nine digs.
The loss dropped Wesleyan to 8-13 overall and 2-6 in the MEC.
Wesleyan will return to action this Tuesday when they visit Point Park (Pa.) for a non-conference affair.
The match will start at 7 p.m.
