Volleyball Team Falls in Three Close Sets to Yellow Jackets

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

BUCKHANNON – The West Virginia Wesleyan volleyball team pushed West Virginia State to the limit in all three sets, but came up just short in all three as they dropped a 3-0 decision to the Lady Yellow Jackets in Mountain East Conference action tonight from Rockefeller Center.

The Lady 'Cats dropped three close sets – 25-23, 26-24 and 25-22.

Shannon Gregorek led the team with eight kills while Paulina Nottingham had 16 assists.

Hannah Moore had 15 digs for the Lady Bobcats.

The loss dropped Wesleyan to 5-8 overall and 0-3 in the MEC.

They will have little time to recover as they travel to Salem International for a tri-match on Saturday.

They will play Salem International at 9 a.m. and Bluefield State at noon.

Both contests are non-conference affairs.
