ELKINS --The West Virginia Wesleyan women's tennis team snapped a two match losing streak with a 9-0 win at Davis and Elkins College Sunday afternoon.
The Lady Bobcats improved to 3-2 with the non-conference victory, while the Senators fell to 1-1.
Although each of the singles matches were decided in straight sets. Paula Pimenta, Mariona Junyer, and Kasumi Hayashi all won very closely contested matches in the first three positions.
On Friday, the Lady 'Cats played one of their two scheduled road matches.
They dropped a 9-0 decision to the University of Charleston while their match with Concord was postponed.
The Lady 'Cats will travel to the eastern panhandle on Monday afternoon for an MEC contest with Shepherd University. Match time is set for 4 p.m. at the Rams' Tennis Complex.
