Lady 'Cats Ease Past Glenville State in Volleyball Action, 3-0

BUCKHANNON – The West Virginia Wesleyan volleyball team picked up their first Mountain East Conference win of the season after they defeated Glenville State 3-0 tonight in Rockefeller Center.

Wesleyan won in straight sets – 25-17, 25-17 and 25-17.

Stacie Baumann led Wesleyan in kills while Sarah Crowder had eight.

Paulina Nottingham led the team with 19 assists. She also had four aces during the contest.

Lexi Walsh, the team's liberio tonight, collected 16 digs while Hannah Moore had 13.

The win improved Ashley Ziegle's club to 7-10 overall and 1-3 in the MEC.

Glenville State dropped to 1-15 overall and 0-4 in the MEC.

Wesleyan will make a two-day, two game southern swing this Friday and Saturday.

They will visit Concord on Friday at 5 p.m and then visit Uva.-Wise Saturday at 1 p.m.

They will return home Tuesday, Oct, 13 against West Liberty.
