Box Score 2 CLERMONT (Fla.) – For the third consecutive day, the West Virginia Wesleyan Lady Bobcats split a pair of games on their spring break tour.
The Lady 'Cats dropped a 6-5 decision to St. Joseph's (Ind.) but rebounded to win a 6-2 decision over Hillsdale (Mich.).
The split left head coach Steve Warner and his team with a 3-3 record.
Against Hillsdale, Wesleyan erupted for four runs in the top of the second inning.
Olive Gore knocked in a run in the top of the third to give Wesleyan a 5-0 lead.
Hillsdale got on the board in the bottom of the fourth but Rachel Ramsey singled home pinch runner Sarah Scoone for Wesleyan to give them a 6-1 lead.
Hillsdale scored a lone run in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Brooklyn Waddell, Gore and Krista Waggoner each had two hits for Wesleyan.
Hannah Vet picked up the pitching win.
She gave up one run on five hits and fanned one.
