Box Score SOUTH EUCLID (Ohio) – Keenan Moreta scored two second-half goals and Kristi Dalton put one in the back of the net in the first half to lead the West Virginia Wesleyan Lady Bobcats to a huge 3-0 road win against Notre Dame College today in a Mountain East Conference contest.
In the early season contest between the two budding rivals, the first match belonged all to Wesleyan.
Dalton put Wesleyan on the scoreboard at the 32:22 mark when she unleashed a shot from 30 yards out that got past Notre Dame keeper Louisa Rygh.
Kelsey Sitka was awarded the assit.
Twenty minutes into the second half, Moreta tallied her first goal to up the Wesleyan lead to 2-0. Jane Schleicher was credited with an assist on the goal.
Moreta wrapped up the scoring when she scored on a penalty kick at the 83:37 mark.
Shots were even at 12-12 but Wesleyan owned a 7-6 advantage in shots-on-goal.
Wesleyan keeper Hillary Dewitt posted her second shutout of the year as she turned away six shots.
Notre Dame owned a 4-2 margin in corner kicks.
Fouls were even at eight apiece.
With the win, Wesleyan improved to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the MEC.
The Lady Bobcats will return to action this Sunday at home when they face the University of Charleston.
Kick-off will begin at 1 p.m.
