Lady Bobcats Post Fourth Shutout, Beat WJU, 2-0

WHEELING – Freshman Jane Schleicher scored both of the West Virginia Wesleyan goals for the Lady Bobcats as they picked up a nice 2-0 road win against the Wheeling Jesuit Lady Cardinals today in a Mountain East Conference clash.

Schleicher scored at the 19:49 mark to give the Lady Bobcats a 1-0 lead.

That score stood at the half.

She scored her second goal at the 56:36 mark to treat Wesleyan to their 2-0 win.

The goals were the second and third for Schleicher on the season.

The Wesleyan defense did not allow a shot-on-goal.

Wesleyan keeper Hillary Dewitt posted her fourth shutout in five games for the Lady Bobcats.

Wesleyan put 10 shots-on-goal against Wheeling Jesuit.

The Lady Bobcats owned a 6-4 advantage in corner kicks.

Wesleyan improved to 5-0 overall and 4-0 in the MEC.

They will return to action this Sunday at 3 p.m. when they host Concord.
