Box Score URBANA, Ohio – Another game, another shutout, another win.
It's a formula that head coach Patrick Holguin will never tire of as his 19th-ranked West Virginia Wesleyan Lady Bobcats defeated Urbana by a 1-0 score here today in a Mountain East Conference contest.
The win improved the Lady Bobcats to 7-0 on the season and 6-0 in the MEC.
Wesleyan has now posted six shutouts in their seven games.
The lone goal came in the second half at the 56:51 mark when Colette Biondi beat Urbana keeper Taylor Gianangeli for her second goal of the season.
Wesleyan owned a 17-6 margin in shots and a 6-2 lead in shots-on-goal.
Lady Bobcat keeper Hillary Dewitt turned away two shots.
Wesleyan had a 7-4 lead in corner kicks.
Today's contest with Urbana was the first of three straight road games for the Lady Bobcats.
They will travel to Shepherd Sunday for a 3:30 p.m. outing and then face California (Pa.) in a huge regional battle on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
