URBANA, Ohio – Following a five-goal outburst last Sunday against Concord, the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats couldn't keep that offensive momentum going in a 2-0 setback to Urbana here today in a Mountain East Conference contest.
The Urbana defense stymied the Wesleyan offense to just three shots-on-goal.
The game was scoreless until the 36th minute when Raoui Lassoued scored Urbana's first goal.
Urbana tallied the second goal of the game at the 49:05 mark when Tom Walbeoff scored.
Urbana owned a 6-3 margin in shots-on-goal but Wesleyan had a 6-2 edge in corner kicks.
Wesleyan keeper Felipe Vial turned away four shots.
The loss dropped Wesleyan to 1-5-1 overall and 1-4 in the MEC.
Today's outing is the first of a four-game road trip for the Bobcats.
They will travel to Shepherd Sunday for a MEC outing.
The game is scheduled for 1 p.m.
