Down 13-6 early, Wesleyan's Mykenzie Martin unleashed a three-pointer and Tara Goldman made a lay-up to make it a 13-11 score with 1:24 remaining in the first quarter.

Glenville State owned a 16-12 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Behind by a 36-23 score, Stewart connected on back-to-back jumpers and Goldman went inside for a lay-up to close gap to seven, at 36-29, with 7:12 left in the third quarter.

The Lady Pioneers pushed their lead back to 10, at 41-31, but Stewart scored inside the paint and Browne darted inside for two points to keep Wesleyan in the game at 41-35 with 5:05 remaining in the third quarter.

Goldman added nine points for the Lady 'Cats while Browne tacked on seven.

Wesleyan outrebounded Glenville State by a 46-37.

The Lady Bobcats actually had a better shooting percentage in the game but Glenville State got off 24 more shots thanks in part to Wesleyan's turnovers.

Weather permitting, Wesleyan will play again Saturday when they host Fairmont State at 2 p.m.
