BUCKHANNON – Senior setter Paulina Nottingham collected her 2000 assist tonight for the West Virginia Wesleyan Lady Bobcats in their Mountain East Conference home contest with the Concord Mt. Lions at Rockefeller Center.

Unfortunately, the Lady 'Cats suffered a disappointing 3-2 decision – 25-23, 25-23, 25-27, 21-25 and 15-13.

After losing the first two sets by close 25-23 scores, but they rebounded to take a hard-fought 27-25 third set.

Wesleyan took an early 12-8 lead but watched it disappear as Concord outscored the Lady Bobcats by a 12-4 margin to take a 20-16 lead.

A service ace by Stacie Baumann (pictured) gave Wesleyan a 24-22 lead but Concord scored the next three to make it a 25-24 contest.

Kills by Ebonie Hicks and Hannah King gave Wesleyan a 26-25 lead and a Concord attack error gave Wesleyan the two-point win.

Concord had an early 7-6 lead in the fourth set but Wesleyan controlled play after that as they took the outing by five points.

In the fifth and deciding set, Wesleyan had a 13-11 lead but Concord rallied for the final four points to escape with the win.

Hannah King had 20 kills while Nottingham ended the day with 56 assists.

Baumann had three aces and a team high 31 digs.

The loss dropped Wesleyan to 1-4 overall and 5-13 in the MEC.

Wesleyan will have little time to rest as they will host UVa.-Wise Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
