WINCHESTER (Va.) – The West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats opened their spring season Friday night against NCAA Division III opponent Shenandoah University inside the Winchester Country Club.
The Bobcats easily swept Shenandoah by a 9-0 score.
The Bobcats took all three doubles events.
The closest match of the night was at No. 1 doubles as Ferran Berga and Nathan Sabate defeated Steven Baker and Jessie Ewing, 8-5.
Ramon Rodriguez and Jacobo Rendon at No. 2 and Timothy Stephens and Anthony Rames at No. 3 doubles both won their matches by 8-0 scores.
Wesleyan won the six singles matches in straight sets.
Shenandoah fell to 1-1 on the season.
Wesleyan improved to 4-0 on the season.
The 'Cats were supposed to play Division I Longwood Saturday, but that match was postponed to Sunday at 1 p.m.
