Box Score 2 BUCKHANNON – West Virginia Wesleyan softball player Brooklyn Waddell was recently named a First-Team Preseason All-American by Hero Sports D2.
Waddell is a junior second baseman from Buckhannon, W. Va.
Last year, she ended the 2015 season being named a NFCA First Team All-American.
During the 2015 campaign, Waddell was tabbed the Mountain East Conference Player of the Year and was among the NCAA's leaders in batting average (.483).
She led the MEC in batting and slugging (.864), was second in OBP (.513), home runs (15) and hits (85) and tied for third in runs scored (49).
She was also named to the All-MEC Tournament Team.
