Box Score 2 SALEM – The West Virginia Wesleyan Lady Bobcats split a pair of non-conference volleyball contests today at Salem International University.
The Lady 'Cats started the day with a 3-0 loss to Kentucky Wesleyan but rebounded to defeat Salem International by a 3-1 score.
Against Kentucky Wesleyan, the Lady Bobcats dropped the three sets – 25-19, 25-14, 25-22.
Bella Coles led the team with eight kills while Paulina Nottingham had 19 assists and Hannah Moore had eight digs.
Following a first set loss to Salem International 25-18, Wesleyan bounced back to take the next three – 25-17, 25-17, 25-16.
Hannah King had a team-leading 11 kills, Nottingham had 45 assists and Kirsty Lawrence collected 15 digs.
The split left Ashley Ziegle's team with a 2-9 record.
They will return to action Tuesday when they host Ohio Valley in a non-conference clash beginning at 7 p.m.
