Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – In two absolute stunners, Notre Dame College took two games from the 12th-ranked West Virginia Wesleyan Lady Bobcats today in Mountain East Conference play.

Wesleyan lost game one by a 4-1 score and then lost game two by a 7-5 margin.

Notre Dame entered the twin bill with an 11-14 overall record and a 3-7 league mark.

In both games, it was one bad inning that did in the Lady Bobcats.

In game one, Wesleyan took a 1-0 lead in the top of the sixth inning when pinch runner Marilyn Maas scored after a double by Jessica Rodriguez and an error by Notre Dame College.

Notre Dame's big inning came in the bottom of the sixth inning when they scored four runs.

They capitalized on four hits and one Wesleyan error to account for the scoring.

Both teams had six hits in the contest.

Rodriguez had the lone multi-hit game with two hits.

Hannah Vet (10-1) saw her 10-game winning streak come to an end as she suffered the loss.

She went the distance and gave up three earned runs on six hits while not walking a batter and striking out eight.

In game two, Wesleyan built a 3-0 in the top of the second inning following a Morgan Bruce home run and a two-run single by Taylor Barnett.

Notre Dame scored one to make it a 3-1 game after two innings of action.

They gave up six runs on seven hits to fall behind by a 7-3 score.

Wesleyan rallied for two runs in the top of the sixth on a one-run double by Olivia Gore and a one-run single by Brittani Bible.
