Women Lose to Urbana in Final Minutes

BUCKHANNON – West Virginia Wesleyan Women's Basketball team lost to Urbana 77-72. After a hard fought 3rd quarter coming back from a ten point deficit at half time, the Bobcats could not hold the lead.

Coach Vicky Bullett's squad dominated the 3rd quarter, outscoring Urbana 26-10. Leading the Bobcats were Stacy Remer, Mari Stewart, and Brittany Stawovy. Remer finished the game with 20 points and was complemented by Stewart's 17 points and Stawovy's 10 points.

Urbana was led by Sylvia Hudson scoring 21 points and Stefanie Davis scoring 16 points.

Wesleyan falls to a 5-8 overall record and a 3-4 record in the MEC. The Bobcats will return to their home court on Saturday against Notre Dame, tip off at 2:00
