Brownsville, PA — West Virginia Wesleyan used a sweep of the doubles to led the way in a 6-1 win over host California (PA) University in women's tennis action here Thursday.
The Lady Bobcats opened their fall season by taking five of the six singles matches. Three freshmen got their first wins on the day, as Lauren Graham, Rebecca Osborne and Sai Sakamoto each contributed in their debuts.
Wesleyan will return to the courts on September 28 when they travel to Bluefield to face Bluefield State and Johnson C. Smith University in a doubleheader.
