Recap
West Virginia Wesleyan Women's Basketball got an exciting night started early on Wednesday, taking Concord to the wire, but eventually losing 65-64. The Lady Bobcats had a chance to win it in the final seconds, however the shot was missed and a foul was committed on the rebound. Concord's Madison May stepped to the line and missed the first, however she collected herself and sunk the winning free throw with less than a second remaining. The stats surrounding this game tell an odd story, as neither team shot the ball well, but Concord dominated the paint and got more production out of their starters. With a handful of chances to win the game late, this is yet another disappointing loss for Wesleyan. They have found ways to stay in games with teams that are having much stronger seasons, but struggle to close out games in the final minutes.Â
