Recap
After losing their last six games to close out 2019, West Virginia Wesleyan Women's Basketball looked to start off 2020 with a win at WVU Tech on Sunday. Despite strong performances from
Brittany Stawovy and
Courtney Wilfong, the Lady Bobcats couldn't get past the Golden Bears, falling 81-76. Trailing 62-48 after the third quarter, the Lady Bobcats poured in twenty-eight points in the final ten minutes. Stawovy was especially instrumental in the comeback, scoring twelve points in the fourth quarter, and closing the score to as little as three with under a minute remaining. The game analytics reflect the same story as the scoreline, an evenly-played contest that just did not land in Wesleyan's favor.Â
