Cross Country Preview: NCAA Atlantic Region Championships

Lock Haven University will host the 2021 NCAA Atlantic Region Championships on Saturday (Nov. 6).

The Basics
The West Virginia Wesleyan cross country teams travel to Lock Haven, Pa., on Saturday (Nov. 6) for the 2021 NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Cross Country Championships at the West Branch Cross Country Course. The women's 6K championship begins at 10:30 a.m. and the men's 10K championship starts at 11:45 a.m. 

Last Time Out
  • At the MEC championships, the women's team finished fourth overall with Tori Carr earning a spot on All-MEC first team and Leigha Hall making the All-MEC second team.
  • Hall finished inside the top-20 and Carr finished seventh, gaining All-MEC recognition for the third time in her career.
  • As for the men's team, they finished fifth overall with Evan Pyles being named to the All-MEC second team after finishing in 20th place.
  • Jacob Defibaugh finished in the top-25 at the MEC Championships with a time of 28:50.01.
  • Anthony Sanders, Cole Bracken, and Elijah Hannig all finished with a time under 32 minutes in the MEC championships.
