Cross Country Competes at NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship

Evan Pyles finished highest on the leaderboard for WVWC, while Leigha Hall ran a career-best time.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- The West Virginia Wesleyan cross country team ran at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship hosted at West Branch XC Course.
 
The men's team placed 18th overall. Freshman Evan Pyles logged a time of 33:25.9 and finished 62nd individually. Jacob Defibaugh (34.54.1) and Elijah Hannig (34:59.0) each completed the race in under 35 minutes. Rounding out the scoring for WVWC was Anthony Sanders (35:50.8), Christian Cimaglia (36.46.2), Cole Bracken (39:15.3) and James Sams (39:26.4).
 
On the women's side, Leigha Hall completed the 6000-meter race in 23:43.1. Tori Carr finished with a time of 23:57.0.
