ELKINS, W.Va. -- The West Virginia Wesleyan women's cross country team navigated the course for a second-place finish at Glendale Park in the Davis & Elkins Winter Invite on Friday afternoon (March 5).  
 
The Bobcats tied with Fairmont State in total points, but claimed second place based off of a better average finishing time of 20:37.54.
 
Tori Carr was the top performer for the Bobcats, finishing seventh out of 37 competitors. Carr crossed the finish line with a time 19:29.43. Coming in right behind Carr in eighth place was Lauren Chickosky with a time of 19:42.77.
 
Alexa Gorondy turned in an impressive time of 21:00.96. Rounding out the official Bobcat lineup was Sonya Krezmien (21:20.88) and Alexis Imperial (21:33.64). Emilee Spangler had a solid performance of 21:41.00 while Madison Frame finished the race in 21:55.82. Alyssa Kelleher finished her very first collegiate race with a time of 23:48.31.
 
The Mountain East Conference Championships are up next for Wesleyan cross country on Saturday, March 20 in Wheeling, W.Va.
