The Bobcats women traveled to the Mountain East Conference's top-scoring offense Saturday, and found out just how strong Glenville State's attack can be, losing the contest 100-71.
 
The Pioneers lead the MEC not only in points-per-game with 90.7, it also leads the league in turnover margin, stealing an average of 20.5 opponent possessions in 14 games. Wesleyan offered up 37 which led to 53 Glenville points.
 
The Bobcats spread the points evenly across its starters with 4-of-5 scoring in double digits. Shelby Genes led the team with 13 points but also gave up seven turnovers. Desiree Roy posted a double-double performance with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Emma Witt, the MEC's 7th leading scorer (13.6 per game) dropped in 11 points. Sydney Baird added 11 points.
 
The Pioneers have two players in the top five in conference scoring and each continued to add to their totals against the Bobcats. The No. 4 leader Hya Haywood had a game high 16 points. The No. 5 MEC scoring leader Lauren Calhoun posted 13 points along with teammate Kamiyah Lyons. Also scoring in double digits for Glenville was Dream Cherry and Payton James, each with 11 points.
 
Wesleyan travels to the University of Charleston Wednesday, Jan. 17 for a 5:30 p.m. tipoff with the Golden Eagles.
