West Virginia Wesleyan College (WVWC) announced today that Coach Kelsey Stowers will not return as the head coach of its Cross Country and Track and Field programs.

"After a thorough review and evaluation of the cross country and track programs's direction, growth, and long-term needs, WVWC has decided to move in a new direction with the leadership of these programs," said Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics, Kyle Hoffman. "WVWC thanks Coach Stowers for her years of service and wishes her the very best in her future endeavors."

WVWC will begin a national search for its next head coach immediately.

WVWC remains focused on growing a competitive program that is centered on its commitment to student-athletes, while aligning with the mission and values of the institution. WVWC will provide no additional information on this personnel matter.
