Joshua Petro joined the West Virginia Wesleyan Track & Field coaching staff for the 2022-23 season to work with the throwers.
Most recently, Petro was a high school track & field coach at The Villages Charter High School in The Villages, Fla. While at The Villages, Petro was the throws coach and helped produce 13 state qualifiers, 10 state top-10 finishes, nine district champions and four school records throughout the course of his four-year tenure.
Petro was a thrower at Defiance College in Ohio. As a Yellow Jacket, Petro claimed two conference championships and was named an academic all-american in the weight throw. Petro received recognition as the 2018 Defiance College Male Athlete of the Year award.
