Belcher’s collegiate coaching career spans across the NCAA, NAIA, and JUCO levels, with a proven track record of transforming programs under challenging timelines. In 2021, he was hired at Ohio Valley University just eight days before the season began and led the team to a 13-2-1 overall record, including a perfect 13-0 mark in conference play. That season, his team captured both the River States Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championships, secured a berth to the NAIA National Tournament, and earned multiple individual accolades: seven Academic All-Conference selections, two First Team and five Second Team All-Conference honorees, the Conference Defensive Player of the Year, and the Conference Newcomer of the Year. These accomplishments led to recognition as the 2021 RSC Coach of the Year and a nomination for NAIA National Coach of the Year. Additionally, Belcher successfully built an NCAA Division II program from the ground up overseeing recruitment, NCAA compliance, and fundraising—raising more than $30,000 in two years to support the program’s growth.
His coaching philosophy centers around developing student-athletes both technically and tactically, while fostering a culture of character, leadership, and purpose. He believes these values are fundamental to helping players reach their full potential in the classroom, in competition, and in life.
Beyond the field he enjoys spending time in the community, where he organizes youth soccer camps and mentors high school athletes, fostering personal growth and community engagement.
