West Virginia Wesleyan College Athletics

Nancy Wheeler is entering her ninth year as the West Virginia Wesleyan head volleyball coach. She has also been Associate Athletic Director since 2021

In 2025, Wheeler was named Mountain East Conference Coach of the Year and her team won the Mountain East Conference regular season title with a 11-4 conference record (20-9 overall). Four Bobcats were placed on the 2025 All-Conference teams. Also under Wheeler's watch in 2025, 28 Bobcats received All-MEC Academic Team honors, the most of any institution in the Mountain East Conference.

Prior to West Virginia Wesleyan, Wheeler turned the Penn State Fayette volleyball team into a juggernaut during her nine year tenure as head coach. Coach Wheeler won eight PSUAC titles in nine seasons, including seven in a row. The eight-time PSUAC coach of the year also coached Penn State Fayette to over 300 conference wins. The Roaring Lions qualified for the USCAA National Championships eight times under Wheeler's tenure. Wheeler coached six USCAA All-Americans and six PSUAC Player of the Year recipients at Penn State Fayette.

Wheeler is a native of Uniontown, Pa. and is a graduate of California (Pa.) University where she earned a degree in Education. Wheeler brings over 30 years of coaching volleyball at the club, high school and collegiate level.

Nancy has three daughters, Mackenzie, Madison and Morgan.
