Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Wesleyan Routs GSC 11-0

Buckhannon- Women's Soccer was back in action on Sunday on Wesleyan's Homecoming Weekend. The Lady Cats would be taking on the Glenville State Pioneers. Wesleyan would take the game 11-0 to notch their ninth straight win. 

Wesleyan would get on the board early when MaKatlyn Tucker played in a cross to Natalie Prater who did the rest placing the shot by the Glenville keeper. Wesleyan up 1-0 in the 6th minute.

Prater would tack on another goal in the 12th minute when she played in a corner kick that deflected off a Glenville defender into the goal. 

Minutes later Shannon Shawgo would place a shot to the bottom right of the goal off an assist from Prater. Lady Cats up 3-0 in the 15th minute. 

Wesleyan was on the move offensively because just one minute later MaKatlyn Tucker would place a great shot past the Glenville keeper off an assist from Jadyn Tavekelian

Isabella Salas would join in the scoring action in the in the 24th minute when she placed a shot from 20-yards out over the Glenville keeper. Audrey Barber would be credited with an assist on the play. Wesleyan up 5-0.

Casey Underwood would get a through ball from Natalie Prater in the 36th minute and did the rest, placing it top right after getting past the last defender. Wesleyan would take a 6-0 lead into the half.

The Lady Cats would quickly increase their lead in the second half when Brianna Bevil finished off a pass from MaKatlyn Tucker to make the score 7-0 in the 47th minute.

In the 60th minute, Hannah Schoolcraft would notch her first goal of the season when she got past the Glenville defense and beat the keeper in the back left corner. 

Kayla Fay would make a nice run past the Glenville defense up the right side of the field in the 68th minute. Fay would curl the shot around the Glenville keeper in the left side of the net to make it 9-0. 

Audrey Barber would get score in the 76th minute off a through ball played by Natalie Pireu. Wesleyan up 10-0. 

Danielle Jonas would score for the Lady Cats in the 84th minute that was assisted by Audrey Barber and Casey Underwood. This would finish out the scoring for Wesleyan. 

Women's Soccer will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to the University of Charleston.
