Shepherdstown, WV- West Virginia Wesleyan Men's Basketball hit the road on Wednesday to take on the Rams of Shepherd University. Wesleyan would fall to the regionally ranked Rams 71-54.
The Rams would hold the lead for most of the first half taking a 35-27 lead into the break. The Bobcats would get out rebounded 26-13 in the half.
Wesleyan would go back and forth with Shepherd to start the second half while being even with points in the first six minutes. Shepherd would go on a 18- 7 run that started with twelve minutes to go in the half. Wesleyan could not answer and would fall to 1-2 in Mountain East Conference play.
Dusan Vicentic would have the hot hand for the Bobcats in the game scoring 17 points on 58% shooting.
Clay Todd would add 11 for Wesleyan
Wesleyan will be back in action on Saturday at home when they take on Fairmont State.
