Lacrosse Loses Close Game at Wilimington

BUCKAHANNON- West Virginia Weslayan Women's Lacrosse team lost in a competitive match up on Saturday afternoon at Wilmington (DE) with a final score of 16-15.

Wesleyan trailed by two at the half 5-7. The team was able to tie it up with Hannah Antonelli's goal at the 13:33 mark to bring the score to 13-13 but unfortunately could not take the lead.

Leading the Bobcats was Hannah Antonelli scoring an impressive 8 goals. Antonelli was complemented by Natalie Schaffner scoring 4 goals, Madison Duvall scoring 2 goals, and Lovely Ordonez-Lopez scoring 1 goal.

The team falls to an overall record of 4-3-1 and will return to their home field on Friday against Walsh starting at 5pm.
