Fairmont, WV- Men's and Women's Swimming topped Fairmont State in a dual meet on Saturday afternoon. The Women won 106 to 97, while the men topped Fairmont 119 to 74.
Kay Lange picked up a victory on the women's side in the 1000 yard freestyle, topping her competition by 12 seconds.Â
Rylee Jackson had another big meet for the Bobcats picking up wins in the 100 yard butterfly, and 50 freestyle. In the 200 yard freestyle relay, WVWC picked up the win by seven seconds over Fairmont.Â
On the men's side,
Arthur Assfeld was back in his winning ways with a win in the 50-yard freestyle, along with a win in the 100-yard backstroke.
Nathan Swalley picked up a close victory in the 100 yard butterfly, while
Logan Knoyer won the 100-yard freestyle by over a second.
Michael McAlpine rounded out the indvidiual victories for the Bobcats with a win in the 500 yard freestyle. Knoyer and McAlpine also were part of the 200-yard freestyle relay win for Wesleyan.

April Gitzen on her teams performance: "This was a great meet from our team. We are showing a lot of positive things as we head into conference. Our ultimate goal is for an outstanding conference meet, dual meets are just a great opportunity to practice your races prior to when it really counts."Â
