Buckhannon, WV -- West Virginia Wesleyan Swimming opened their season on Saturday afternoon, hosting in-state foes Alderson Broaddus and WVU Tech for a three-team meet.
 The Wesleyan Women swept their opponents, defeating Alderson Broaddus 154.00-16.00, and WVU Tech 147.00-23.00. The Men easily took care of Alderson Broaddus 134.00-4.00, but did not fare as well against WVU Tech, falling 106.00-61.00.Â
Wesleyan put meet-leading times all over the scoreboard, winning ten individual events, and two team events. The Lady Bobcats B Relay team, made up of
Amanda Schlor,
Alyssa Serrano,
Gigi Fusco, and
Lillie Archer, won the 200-Yard Medley Relay with a time of 2:00.92. In the Women's 200-Yard Freestyle Relay, the Lady Bobcats A team, made up of
Morgan Choffin,
Kay Lange,
Jordan Miller, and
Morgan Bennet won with a time of 1:51.37.

Saturday was a very impressive performance from the Lady Bobcat swimmers, especially Freshman
Amanda Schlor and Sophomore
Morgan Choffin. Each won two individual events, and Schlor was a member of the first-place 200-Yard Medley Relay team, and Choffin was a member of the first-place 200-Yard Freestyle Relay team.Â
Next up for Wesleyan Swimming is a trip up to Morgantown on November 1st for the West Virginia State Games. After that, the Bobcats and Lady Bobcats will open up Mountain East Conference competition on November 9th when they host Frostburg State.Â
