West Virginia Wesleyan Women's Basketball knew that had a tough test ahead of them on Saturday. Traveling to the top team in the conference with a four-game losing streak is not ideal, but it served as an opportunity to stack up against the best. Unfortunately, Notre Dame backed up their record with their performance with a 72-53 win. It wasn't the strongest game the Falcons have played this season, but they played smothering defense and made shots when they needed to. For the Lady Bobcats, the offense struggled mightily the whole game, shooting just 30.8% from the field. However, the bright spot for the past few games showed up again on Saturday, as Freshman Cierra Tolbert led the team with thirteen points and seven rebounds. She also knocked down all five of her free throws.

Notre Dame bumps up to 9-1, and stays in first place in the MEC at 5-1.
