Recap
West Virginia Wesleyan Women's Basketball played host to Wheeling on Saturday afternoon in Buckhannon. The Lady Bobcats played well in the first half, effectively slowing the game down to their pace, leading the first twenty minutes 28-23. A reason why the team plays well at a slow pace is their domination of the boards, featuring forwards Cierra Tolbert and Nicole Gilyard. Gilyard put up ten points in the first half, and the Freshman Tolbert had eleven rebounds. In the second half, the Cardinals caught fire and scored 65% of their total points of the game, including twenty-eight points in the fourth quarter. The Lady Bobcats failed to slow the game back down, and the Cardinals spoiled a great game from Gilyard.
