Buckhannon, WV-- The Men's Basketball team would come into today's match-up with a 10-15 overall record (7-12) opposed to Wheeling Jesuit University coming in with a 7-18 overall record (6-13). The Bobcats look to take down the Cardinals on Senior day for their last home game before conference play.
The Seniors that will be honored is
Fred Brondsted a 6'6 Guard from Holbaek, Denmark andÂ
Dedan Williams a 6'6 Guard from Landover, Maryland and lastly, Student Assistant Coach
Tom Kotol.Â
At the beginning of the game, the Bobcats would start it off with a three ball from senior
Fred Brondsted, as the Bobcats would look to find him on the arc. With 8 minutes left in the first half the Bobcats would be trailing this young Cardinals team with a score of 15-10.Â
The Bobcats would be down 7 with 11 minutes into the game, until
Clay Todd would get an add one and sink the free throw. It would pull the Bobcats to within 4 points as they look to start capitalizing. The Bobcats are shooting 45.5% (5-11) from the field opposed to the Cardinals shooting 50% (8-16). The Cardinals are still searching for their first three pointer as the Bobcats are 33.3% (2-6).Â
The Bobcats would take the lead with 8 minutes left in the game due to a lay-up from
Dusan Vicentic. This would not affect the Cardinals as they would go on a 8-0 run within just a few possessions.Â
With 3 minutes left in the first half the Cardinals would be up by 5 points (27-22) as the Bobcats look to close the margin even more going into the second half.Â
At the end of the first half of play, the Bobcats would be trailing the Cardinals by a score of 31-22.

The Cardinals would answer with 8 straight points until
Clay Todd would drill a corner three to cut the deficit. But the Cardinals wouldn't roll over as they would hit two immediate three's as their lead would stretch to 14 points with 10 minutes left in the ball game. The Bobcats need to capitalize and take advantage of these opportunities if they want a shot back in this game.Â
The Cardinals would continue to stay hot from three as Jay Gentry drills a deep three to continue to keep their lead.Â
With 6 minutes left in the ball game,
Clay Todd would make a lay-up then collect a steal as he would immediate drain a three to give some momentum for the Bobcats.
DeAndre Robinson for the Cardinals would hit back to back three pointers that would silence the crowd until
Clay Todd would hit another three, bring him to 25 points.Â
With just minutes left in the game, both teams would be drilling three's going back and forth but the Bobcats were just too far away from the Cardinals as they would fall by a score of 75 to 66.Â
