Buckhannon, WV- West Virginia Wesleyan Women's Basketball took on the University of Charleston Golden Eagles on Thursday evening in an Mountain East Conference contest. Wesleyan was able to put up a great effort against the 18-3 Golden Eagles but would fall short 71-58.
A first and second quarter defecit would be the major factor in the loss as the Bobcats were barely outscored in the second half (39-38).
Nicole Gilyard would lead the Bobcats with 16 points to go along with her 9 rebounds and two blocks.
Wesleyan will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to the Capitol to take on WV State.
