Buckhannon, WV- Lacrosse took on nonconference opponent, Mercyhurst University and fell 20-3. The Lakers held a commanding lead throughout the game, scoring eleven goals in the first half and then nine in the second half, while the Lady Bobcats had one goal in the first and two in the second. Two of Wesleyan's goals came from
Madison Duvall and one from
Madeline Gorzka.
Wesleyan was outshot by Mercyhurst, 40-9. However, the Lady Bobcats did lead in saves 15-4, with
Gabrielle Cleaveland contributing to fourteen of them.
Wesleyan will be back in action on March 15th when they take on Walsh University away at 1 PM.
