Lady Bobcats Split Double Header With Rams

Buckhannon, WV – Wesleyan squared off with conference rival Shepherd University in Saturday's double header. The Lady Bobcats took the first game 2-1, while the Rams won the second game, 3-1.
 
Game 1
In the first game of the double header, the Lady Bobcats downed the Rams 2-1. Wesleyan scored early in the 1st inning when Kiley Turner singled and scored Kennedy Cowart. The Lady Bobcats scored another run in the 3rd inning to take a 2-0 lead off of Megan Magsamen's single. Shepherd tried to make a comeback and scored 1 run in the 4th inning, but this was not enough. The Lady Bobcats would hold off the Rams and end the game 2-1.
Hannah Hudson picked up her 3rd win of the season in the circle, while Magsaemen went 2 for 3 scoring 1 RBI, and Kenndy Cowart went 1 for 3, hitting a double to help lead the Lady Bobcat's victory over the Rams.
Game 2
In the second game of the double header, Shepherd came out strong scoring one run in the 2nd inning and another run in the 3rd to make it 2-0. The Rams struck again in the 5th inning, putting up another run to make it 3-0. In the 7th inning, the Lady Bobcats looked to battle back when Kiley Turner hit a homerun to cut the lead to 3-1. However, Wesleyan was not able to close the gap any further and Shepherd took the game 3-1.
 
The Lady Bobcat's next game is March 17th at home when they play a double header against Fairmont State University.
