Winter Haven, FL--
The West Virginia Wesleyan College Baseball team would take on Northern State University for a double header for their first day on their spring break trip in Winter Haven, Florida.
Game 1:
Griffin Roe a Junior out of Stewart, Florida would take the mound for the Bobcats in the first game of the double header as he looks to get his first win in the 2019 season.
The Bobcats would be off to a slow start as the Wolves would be the first to score as they would tack on two runs in the first two innings.
The next few innings throughout the game it would be a pitching duel as the Wolves would remain on top 2-0.
It wouldn't be until the top of the 6
th inning where Northern State would tack on two more runs on two hits, as it seems that the Wolves would be running away with the game.
In the bottom of the 6
th inning the Bobcats showed some life as
Greg Smith would lead of the inning with a long home run to left field as it would make the score 4-1 going into the 7
th inning.
The Bobcats would hold the Wolves to 0 runs in the last inning and looking to tack on three runs to push this game into extra innings. The Bobcats would have their chances throughout the game as they needed a couple timely hits but failed to execute.
The Wolves would run away with the game 4-1 as the Bobcats look to pick up game 2 starting shortly.

Greg Smith (1 for 3, HR, RBI) ,
Eric Forbrick (2 for 3) and Domonic Castello (1 for 2).
Game 2:
On the mound for the Bobcats in the second game of the double header would be
Michael Maiolo a Freshman out of Beckley, West Virginia.
The Bobcats would be the away team in the second game here in Winter Haven as they would tack on 4 run in the first giving them some momentum that they needed for the day. In the top of the first, there would be back to back singles from
Greg Smith and
Jonathan Cintron and
Eric Forbrick would walk loading the bases for
Ryan Kiser. Kiser would single into right field scoring one run. There then would be two squeezes that would be executed from
Travis Renner and
Sam Ross.
In the top of the 2
nd, John Cintron would start the two out rally with a walk and stole second base.
Eric Forbrick would single to left field which ended up scoring Cintron making it a 5-0 ball game.
The Wolves would finally tack on an unearned run in the bottom of the 4
th inning as they would also pick up two hits as the score would be 5-1.
The very next half inning the Bobcats would score yet another run on a squeeze play and earning another run on an error from the pitcher making it a 7-1 ball game as the runs for the Bobcats would keep piling on.
In the top of the 6
th inning, the Bobcats would earn 3 free bases as the Wolves would try to find a pitcher to slow down the Bobcats offense. The Bobcats find a way to put two more runs across as they would make it 9-1.
The very next inning
Alex Skinner would hit a long Home Run to left field making it 10-1 and
Eric Forbrick start a two out rally with a double over the center fielders head. The next batter
Ryan Kiser would drop a single into right field which would cap of the scoring with 11 runs.
The Bobcats would go on to smash the Wolves in the second game with a score of 11-1. The Bobcats players of the game would be

Eric Forbrick,
Sam Ross,
Jonathan Cintron, and
Ryan Kiser would all be 2 for 3 this game and
Alex Skinner 1 for 1 with a Home Run. Â
The Bobcats will be back in action tomorrow at 10:15AM in Winter Haven, Florida as they take on Grand Valley State in a single 9 inning game.
