Buckhannon, WV-- The West Virginia Wesleyan Lady Bobcats would take on the Tigers of Salem University for a Non-Conference match. The Lady Bobcats come into the game with a 3-2 overall record and a 2-1 conference record. The Tigers would come in with a 1-7 overall record.

The Lady Bobcats would score within seconds of the game, as Madison LaPole would score her second goal of the season, and Danielle Jonas would pick up the assist.

In the 7th minute of the match, Shannon Shawgo would be the next to tack on to the lead, scoring her first goal of the season. Taylor Maucere would pick up the assist as the Lady Cats would lead 2-0. 

The Lady Bobcats would continue to keep the foot on the gas, as seconds would go by and Danielle Jonas would pick up her first goal of the season, assisted by Madison LaPole. The Lady Cats would be up 3-0 within 8 minutes of the game. 

Casey Underwood for the Lady Bobcats would make it a 4-0 game tacking on the last goal of the half andher first goal of the season (32nd minute). Macy Davis picking up her first assist of the season, as the Lady Bobcats would take a commanding lead. 

After the half, the Lady Bobcats would hit one more time as Haelly Ramirez would pick up her fourth goal of the 2019 season, assisted by Makatlyn Tucker. The Lady Cats would make it a 5-0 game.

The Lady Bobcats would put up 46 shots and 26 shots on goal, opposed to the Tigers who struggled to put a shot up, as they were short staffed. 

The Lady Bobcats would go on to take this victory 5-0 over Salem, the Lady Cats will be back in action this Thursday against Davis & Elkins College for a Conference matchup. Come out and support your Lady Bobcats!
