Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Road Loss for Lady Bobcats on Saturday

Davis & Elkins Takes Care of Business at Home

Recap

Following the season storyline to this point, the Lady Bobcats had one player step up on Saturday at Davis & Elkins, but could not put a combined winning effort together. This time it was Abi Gabauer, who scored eighteen points on eight-of-twelve shooting from the field off the bench. On the other side, the 70-56 win is the third in a row for the Lady Senators, and they are currently playing their best basketball of the season. Despite only scoring eleven points, star Forward Jamiyah Johnson controlled the game with her sixteen rebounds and presence in the paint. Davis & Elkins looks to be making a push out of the bottom group of the Mountain East Conference standings, and they were fueled on Saturday by two twenty-point quarters (first and third).
