Recap
The outcome of Saturday's game between the Bobcats and Charleston was decided rather quickly, when the Golden Eagles went on a 15-2 run to open up the contest. They would carry that lead throughout the forty minutes, and would end up winning by thirteen, 75-62. The absence of
Daylin Lee was certainly felt on the offensive end, as the 62 points is the second lowest total of the season for the Bobcats.
Dusan Vicentic was still able to get his averages, but overall the team struggled to score from most every area of the floor. Vicentic recorded his 500th career rebound early into the game on Saturday. Charleston's hot start was eventually cooled down, and they actually were outscored in the second half, but they were great around the rim and on second-chance opportunities. Lamont McManus showed why he is third in the NCAA in field goal percentage with a 21-point, eight-of-nine effort from the field, and Devon Robinson tacked onto his Mountain East Conference-leading rebounding numbers with fourteen boards. Neither team shot the ball particularly well, but Charleston made the most of their chances, and controlled the glass.Â
