Recap
Without
Brittany Stawovy for the rest of the season, and adding the loss of
Amira Layeni in the opening minutes, Wesleyan was going to have trouble with second-place Charleston on Saturday. The Golden Eagles shot over 50% from the field and from three on their way to an 85-51 win at the Rockefeller Center. The visitors put together a total team effort, getting six players into double figures. They got off to an especially hot start, scoring twenty eight points in the first quarter. The pace slowed down after that, but Wesleyan did not possess the scoring ability to catch up.
Nicole Gilyard and
Cierra Tolbert were the two Lady 'Cats to score in double figures, and it is the third game in a row for
Cierra Tolbert doing so.

What's Next
There is no break ahead for Wesleyan next week, as they play host to first place Glenville State on Wednesday night.
Wednesday in South Euclid, OH should be the site of a great contest when Notre Dame hosts Charleston. The winner of that game will take over sole possession of second place in the MEC.
