Another Career High Night for Tolbert

Freshman Center Dominates in Loss to Glenville

Recap

Lining up against first-place Glenville State would likely be a daunting task for a freshman, but Cierra Tolbert rose to the occasion for Wesleyan on Wednesday night. She scored 28 of the Lady Bobcats' 74 points, in a matchup that finished 108-74 in favor of the visiting Pioneers. The Pioneers did not put up shooting percentages that match their high standard, but they did push the pace to a point that was tremendously uncomfortable for Wesleyan. Re'Shawna Stone was the leading scorer for the visitors with 26 points, and all five Pioneer starters reached double-figures. In a season full of disappointing results, Cierra Tolbert has been an exciting bright spot for Head Coach Vicky Bullett. She is becoming more polished and more aggressive with each game, and her best basketball is likely still ahead of her.
