Recap
Concord's Madison May is certainly one of the best players in the Mountain East Conference, and she was too strong for Wesleyan to handle on Saturday afternoon. The senior from Athens had one of her standard performances, collecting twenty-four points with seven rebounds to lead all scorers. She did so efficiently, shooting 10-17 from the field. May received help on the glass from Riley Fitzwater, who contributed thirteen rebounds along with her ten points.
Malaika Kimmons and
Abi Gabauer were the only Lady Bobcats to reach double-figures, and they shot under 30% from the field as a team. The duo of May and Fitzwater inside was too tough for Wesleyan, as Concord outscored them in the paint 46-18.
