West Virginia Wesleyan Acrobatics and Tumbling had their home opener today against Fairmont State and Urbana. The Lady Bobcats hit every heat in the Compulsory Event totaled a 34.35, trailing Urbana and Fairmont State's totals of 34.4 and 35.5. In the Acro event, the Lady Bobcats got back into the mix scoring a 26.95 in the event, putting them in second place. Fairmont State was still leading with a running score of 63.4, the Lady 'Cats 61.3, and Urbana 60.7. Picking up on their second-place lead over Urbana, the Lady 'Cats scored a 9.6 in the Heat 3 Pyramid, their highest score of the meet. At Halftime, Fairmont lead 92.0, followed by the Lady 'Cats with 88.85, and in third, Urbana totaling 88.1.
Still second to Fairmont State, the Lady 'Cats kept their lead over Urbana scoring a 25.95 in the Toss Event. In the Tumbling Event, the Lady 'Cats scored a 49.62. The totals before the final event had Fairmont State leading 171.6, followed by Wesleyan 164.425 and Urbana 163.250. In Team Event, the stakes were high for the Lady 'Cats to keep their close second place lead over Urbana. Wesleyan ended up scoring a 83.51 in the Team Event, dropping them into third place. The final results of the meet were as follows:
