Gilyard Pours in Career High at Fairmont State

Senior Forward Kept Lady 'Cats in the Game on Wednesday

Recap

Wesleyan Senior Forward Nicole Gilyard had played in 101 career games, but she had never scored twenty-five points in a game. That changed on Wednesday night when Gilyard set a new career-high in her second-to-last game in a Lady Bobcats uniform. She poured in twenty-five points on ten-of-eighteen shooting, nailed all five of her free throws, and also collected seven rebounds. Her offensive efforts kept the Lady Bobcats in the game during the second half, getting the score down to just five points with under a minute remaining. In the end, the home Falcons prevailed 71-64, but not due to their domination of any aspect of the game.
