Recap
GLVC-member Marysville is currently on a three-game road trip through West Virginia, stopping in Philippi on Monday, and in Buckhannon on Wednesday to take on the Lady Bobcats. The Saints came out of the blocks hot, reaching double-digit goals in the first twenty minutes of the game. Things slowed down offensively for them in the second half, and the Lady 'Cats won the scoring battle over the final thirty minutes 4-3. However, the first half margin was too strong to overcome, and Marysville left with an 18-5 victory. The Saints were lead offensively by Claire Martin and Bri Laster, who each collected four points on a combined six goals and two assists. Martin also grabbed five draw controls in the center circle.
Madeline Gorzka had a strong game for Wesleyan, as she also snagged five draw controls, and found the back of the net twice.Â
