West Steps Down as Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach

Head Golf Coach and Alum Nick West Resigns from Position

Buckhannon, WV -- West Virginia Wesleyan Athletics announces that Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach Nick West '18 has resigned from his position. A former member of the Men's Golf program as a student-athlete from 2014-2018, West stayed at his alma mater to lead both Golf programs for two seasons from 2018-2020.

On the course, West led the Bobcats to their best team finish (third) in Mountain East Conference history as a senior in 2017-18. In the coaches chair, his Men's team grabbed sixth at the MEC Championships this past season, and his Women's teams in 2018-19 and 2019-20 both finished fourth. Across both programs, West coached seven student-athletes who received All-MEC recognition.

WVWC Athletics would like to thank Nick West for his contributions to the Men's and Women's Golf programs, as both a student-athlete and a coach, during his time in Buckhannon. A national search for a new Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach will begin immediately.
